Business Preparedness
In efforts to reach out to even more people, the Office of Emergency Management is now coming to local businesses, civic organizations, churches, and schools. OEM is willing to meet with different community groups to educate them on how to be prepared for various types of emergencies. It is a proven fact that the more people know about how to be ready for an emergency, the safer they will be.
Employers in the area also need to be prepared to protect the welfare and safety of their employees should a disaster or emergency occur. OEM can help employers do just that. OEM can do something as unobtrusive as a simple walk-through of a facility to point out preparedness ideas or safety hazards or a more involved process such as providing training seminars to employers and employees.
